Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sometimes, you just need a chocolate chip cookie. These easy-to-bake cookies are perfect for those very moments. These cookies are quite soft, fudgy and cake-like in texture. Whilst they may not look like much, what they lack in appearance they more than make for in taste. They are delicious and everybody loves them!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Servings: about 24 cookies

  • 100g butter
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 150g flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 35g cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 100g chocolate chips


  • Pre-heat the oven to 180c and line baking trays
  • Cream together the butter and sugar
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract
  • Add the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder, followed by the chocolate chips
  • Use a tablespoon to dollop the mixture onto the baking trays
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes
  • Leave them on the trays for a few minutes before moving them to a cooling rack
  • Storage: store in an airtight container for up to 5 days
  • Save
